A request for an Emergency General Meeting, duly signed by more than 20 members, was received by AYC on the 8th May 2023, requesting consideration of the AYC’s Board’s decision to sanction Geoffrey Pidduck, past commodore and life member, from helming or skippering his own vessel in Antigua Yacht Club racing events, including Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta.
In accordance with the By-Laws the date of said EGM will be on Tuesday 6th June at 6pm at the AYC Event Centre and possibly by Zoom.
The sole subject for discussion is the decision of the AYC Board, as OA of Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, to decline his entry, solely on safety grounds. By de-fault, that decision would have to cover any other AYC organised events.
