Our Sailors are Very Competitive!

They Like to Win Trophies

Every Saturday afternoon at 2pm, JHYC runs an “all comers” competitive sailing event for local and visiting yachts. Members as well as non-members are all wecome to participate.

The event attempts to promote a more relaxed and social form of competitive sailing, aimed at sailing performance improvement and participation for all. The JHYC Sailing Committee invites ALL participants in our Saturday Sailing to enter under a set of Sailing Instructions & Local Rules available on their website. Click on title above.

Saturday Sailing will usually have downwind starts and upwind finishes due to start/finish lines being located at the entrance to Jolly Harbour Marina. Cruisers & Live–a-Boards in particular will enjoy this opportunity to hone their skills and gauge their sailing improvement over time against the ongoing revision of their Sailing Performance Club Handicap (SPCH). Race Results at West Point Bar at 6.00pm. Why not come and talk to some of the regular sailers at West Point if you want to find out more.

All winning crews in both CSA and Club Classes will receive the JHYC “Rum Ration”!
