Dear Parents and Friends of AYC Junior Sailing Programs:
The AYC 2019 Winter Program Sailing Sessions begin on January 7 – February 28
A new training schedule, with the dates, times and fees for each category, is attached for both Optimist and Laser Sailors -> AYC 2019 WINTER PROGRAM SCHEDULE (1) Please see Nesie or Kennysha in the AYC office, to complete registration. Payment must be made in full by the first day of the session. Returning sailors will be evaluated and may be promoted based on their work in the previous session they last attended. New participants must agree to and sign the AYC “Sailor and Parent Code of Conduct” forms before the first lesson. If you are unsure about which category to register your sailor, please come and discuss with me.
I want to remind you that all junior members must be part of a program in order to sail out of AYC. Having your own boat does not entitle you to sail out of the facility. This a safety requirement and is in place to ensure that all young sailors are supervised properly.

The following are the results of the Qualifiers for the 2019 South American Championship in Chile:
Shanoy Malone (5), Theodore Spencer (7) , Sue Augusti (9), Maurice Belgrave (11), Ozani Lafond (21), Tyrique Adams (22), Alistair Knoblaugh (23), Brice Batrick (28), Joshua Angling (29). There are five spots available. Please see me for logistics and responsibilities re finance as soon as possible if you wish your child to attend. Once the team is established we will have a planning meeting in January.
