NOTICE OF RACE
AYC MINI DINGHY REGATTA
SUNDAY 14TH JANUARY 2024
The Antigua Yacht Club is hosting a Mini Dinghy Regatta
RULES: Racing will be governed by the 2021-2024 WS Racing Rules of Sailing, the Laser and Optimist Class Rules, the prescription of the race committee, and by the sailing instructions.
REGATTA WAIVER & ENTRY FEE
Regatta Waivers must be reviewed and signed by all parents/guardians of sailors 17 years of age and under. Any sailor 18 years and older can sign the waiver.
We have a limited number of boats, please pay your entry fees at the office or online by noon on Friday 12th January 2024. Payment secures a spot.
Entry Fee – EC$ 25 for Single Handed & EC$ 50 for double handed.
Sailors enrolled in the Semester program who attend Sunday classes are exempt from paying the entry fees but should still submit a signed Regatta Waiver for our records.
SCHEDULE: Set up and briefing will be at 8:30 a.m.
Warning for the first start will not be before 9:30a.m on Sunday
EQUIPMENT: The racing will be sailed in Laser standard ,4.7 and radial Lasers, Optimist and Feva.
If one has a preference in equipment, you are more than welcome to bring your own.
COURSE & NO. OF RACES: The races will be sailed in Falmouth Harbour and will be Trapezoid or Windward/Leeward. The course will be given in the sailing instructions. There will be a maximum of 5 races .
PRIZES & SCORING: Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. In classes with more than 4 boats. Scoring will be in accordance with Appendix A.
