Dear Members,

Warm greetings to all. As we approach an important moment for our Club, we want to ensure every member is well-informed and confident. There have been hostile WhatsApp messages, emails, and telephone calls circulating recently, and we encourage members to simply ignore these disruptive elements. The Antigua Yacht Club remains stable, well-governed, and fully guided by its By-Laws, proper professional advice, and a dedicated Board of volunteers who freely offer their time and service to the Club.

Our vision remains clear: to modernize the Club’s facilities so that AYC continues to serve as a premier hub for sailing activities. The recently concluded Caribbean Dinghy Championship demonstrated the potential of our youth and the strength of our sailing programmes. Our young sailors shined brilliantly—winning the competition with outstanding individual performances. A modernized facility will allow us to host more world-class events and further support the growth and excellence of our youth sailors.

As we prepare for the AGM, let us keep the meeting civil, respectful, and constructive. Personal attacks on individuals and intimidation tactics will not be tolerated or allowed. We are all volunteers working in the best interests of the Club, and respectful engagement is essential for progress.

What matters now is participation. This is your Club, and its strength has always come from members standing together, especially when distractions arise. With the full support of your volunteer Board, we strongly encourage ALL members to attend the upcoming AGM—either in person or via Zoom. Those on island are especially encouraged to be physically present so your voices help shape the future of the Club.

Let us stay positive, united, and focused on strengthening our Club for the years ahead.

We move forward as one.
