Invitation to Serve on the Caribbean Dinghy Championship Planning Team and also to become a member of the Events Committee.
Dear Members,
The Antigua Yacht Club (AYC) is proud to announce that it will host the Caribbean Dinghy Championship (CDC) 2025, scheduled for 24th – 26th October 2025 in Falmouth Harbour. This prestigious regional regatta, sanctioned by the Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA), brings together top sailors from across the Caribbean and strengthens Antigua’s reputation as the premier sailing capital of the region.
In recognition of the importance of this event and other major undertakings, the AYC Board of Directors has established a new Events Committee. This committee has been created to put in place a clear management structure to oversee and professionally execute the Club’s flagship events, beginning with the CDC.
As part of this effort, we are inviting our membership to volunteer to serve on the CDC Planning Team. This team, which operates under the guidance of the Events Committee, will be central to the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of the Championship.
Areas of involvement include:
- Race management and competition oversight
- Sponsorship and finance
- Marketing and public relations
- Logistics, hospitality, and accommodation
- Volunteer coordination and community engagement
- Safety and medical support
Your involvement will not only contribute to the success of the Championship but also showcase the strength and unity of our membership in advancing AYC’s legacy.
