The talk is called ‘Techne” as it attempts to step back and discuss how the simple pleasure of sailing as a youth can be rediscovered. Sail technology can make sailing safer, faster and less stressful. Although often we can not go back to summer carefree dinghy sailing we can make choices that allow us to rediscover the simple honest sensations of those dinghy days. Further many years on we may begin to understand fully these basic joys for the very first time.
